Agro-pastoralist Commercialization and Markets Programme in Northern Kenya is a two-year programme supported by TearFund UK and implemented by Farm Concern International (FCI) in Marsabit County, Kenya.

The programme is designed to turn around the socio-economic landscape of agro-pastoralist households through commercialization, value chain efficiency and market access for green grams, camel milk, goats and sheep. It is graduating 3,323 agro-pastoralists and smallholder farmers into entrepreneurs with cumulative sales of USD 1,255,826.

FCI set out to document the impact of the programme from 17th to 21st October 2016. This involved video recording and write ups on the milestones realized through FCI interventions in the Northern parts of Kenya. The process began with a visit to Merille market where most of the shoats from the Programme beneficiaries are traded before they are transported to slaughter houses in Isiolo and Nairobi. Four small holder farmers and two Commercial Villages were interviewed on the impact of the Programme.
