The Agricuture sector in Rwanda contributes at least a third of the Nation's entire GDP. In other words, the Rwandese, like most other Africans, rely on Agriculture for thier livelihoods. FCI has entered strategic partnerships with World Vision Rwanda and the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation to implement several interventions as outlined below:

Rwanda Multi-Value Chain & Enterprise Development
Rwanda Multi-Value Chain & Enterprise Development is an intervention under INZOZI NZIZA project a tripartite partnership between World Vision Rwanda, Farm Concern International and Vision Finance Company Limited working closely with relevant government line ministries to spark innovations among smallholder farmers in Southern Rwanda specifically in Nyaruguru, Nyamagabe and Mudasomwa ADPs. The VEMAC intervention runs on the premise of creating enterprising solutions that spark innovations within the smallholder farming communities. Read More
Rwanda Domestic Markets Programme
Domestic Horticultural Markets (DoHoMa) programme was designed for domestic markets mainstreaming with a focus on Traditional Africa Vegetables (TAVs), Bulb Onion and Irish Potatoes in Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi and Tanzania. In the three year period of implementation, commercialization of prioritized crops has continuously increased. As a result, farmers’ sales increased from USD 63,422,687 in 2012 to USD 89,113,837 in 2013. Read More
