Sustainable Market led Agriculture and resource management (SMART) is a development project, funded by the Canadian International Agency (CIDA’s). The project is targeting to effectively address the impacts of climate change in Tanzania or community’s future food security and economic growth. The project is also considering the opportunity to capture innovations to address critical climate change issues that require specialised expertise and technologies, and integrated approaches.
This project is implemented in collaboration with a number of local and international partners in a consortium coordinated by World Vision Tanzania. Farm Concern International being one of the partners implementing this project focuses on production and marketing of horticultural value chains like tomatoes, onions, Irish potatoes and butternut squash as well as training farmers in new trends around organic farming
