Farm Concern International, FCI is a Market Access and Economic Development Organization working across Africa to improving the livelihoods of small holder communities. Farm Concern International, FCI has an opportunity in the above position. 

DUTIES/AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Projects Support and Planning

  • Develop of work plans in line with master proposal document
  • Ensure effective project role out in the respective sites is supported by inputs systems
  • Ensure Timely and effective delivery of set targets
  • Coordinate periodic planning and review forums with stakeholders especially on specialized role(Inputs distribution) 
  • Ensure effective use and accountability of project resources by the staff

2. Inputs supplies facilitation

  • Ensure diaries of all planting seasons is kept and up to date
  • Identify inputs  supplying companies for various inputs
  • Facilitate  signing of partnership agreements with prioritized input suppliers
  • Ensure establishment of demonstration plots
  • Ensure setting up of village agro dealers in all project implementation areas
  • Ensure supervision of all demonstration plots set up by input suppliers
  • Document volumes of inputs supplied to CVs and their monetary value
  • Facilitate studies and appraisals on utilization inputs within Commercial Villages

3. Market development and Linkages

  • Participate in designing and implementation of  commodity and trade partnerships protocols and strategies
  • Identify buyers, traders and trading companies for linkage to Commercial Villages and CPGs
  • Establish market partnerships with various levels of markets ranging from traditional markets, medium and large scale agro-processing companies 
  • Facilitate establishment and support for trader’s associations.
  • Plan, organize, participate and facilitate market and trade meetings
  • Facilitate capacity building to traders and trade association 
  • Supply chain management based on smallholder supplies (sale coordination)
  • Manage / co-ordinate sales promotions and marketing events
  • Manage sales targets for all sites
  • Document all sales and incomes from sales for all project sites

4. Reports developments

  • Ensure clear and concise monthly report development
  • Ensure weekly market intelligence reports development and submission
  • Ensure timely quarterly and annual reporting
  • Ensure timely monthly/ quarterly update to partners

JOB DESCRIPTION

Academic Qualifications

  • University Degree: B.Com-Marketing /  Agricultural Economics / Agri-business / Business Administration from recognized Universities
  • Over 3 years experience in marketing of FMCGs or Agricultural Products.
  • Hand-On-Experience in sales and marketing at various levels along market chains
